Enhanced Access

The Enhanced Access Hours Service is designed to make it easier for our patients to get an appointment that suits them including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

The service offers pre-bookable, routine primary care appointments with a range of clinicians including GPs, nurses and healthcare assistants.

From the 1st of October, our patients will be able to book appointments from 6:30pm-8:00pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am-5:00pm by calling their practice during its usual opening hours. In some circumstances, patients may be required to visit an alternative practice for their appointment at either Boughton Health Centre, Park Medical Centre, Heath Lane Medical Centre or Upton Village Surgery.

These appointments will take place in the following schedules:

Boughton Health Centre – Tuesday & Wednesday evening 6:30pm-8:00pm.

Park Medical Centre – Tuesday morning 7:00am-8:00am and Wednesday evening 6:30pm-8:00pm.

Upton Village Surgery – Thursday evening 6:30pm-8:45pm.

Garden Lane Hub – Fridays 6:30pm-8:00pm & Saturdays 9:00am-5:00pm.

To book an appointment contact your regular GP practice in the usual way to request an appointment. Some appointments will be available to book up to 2 weeks in advance and some will be available on the day.

If you need to cancel an appointment please contact your local GP practice Monday to Friday 8:00am-6:30pm.

A range of services will be available, from GP to Nurse appointments, blood tests, health checks and medication reviews.

Your appointment will be with an experienced clinician. It is unlikely that you will be seen by your own GP or nurse. If you would prefer to see your usual GP or practice nurse, please book an appointment with your registered practice during their normal opening hours.

Your medical record will, with your consent, be available to the clinician that sees you. Your record will be updated at the time of your appointment. An appointment with this service will be just like an appointment at your own GP practice.
